Open Access Policy
MODERATE: Journal of Religious, Education, and Social implements an open access policy similar to the one adopted by QUAERENS: Journal of Theology and Christianity Studies. Through this policy, all articles published in this journal are immediately and freely accessible to the public. This open access approach aims to support a broader global exchange of knowledge and enhance the impact and visibility of research, especially in the fields of education and social studies.
With this policy, anyone can access the full text of all articles published without restriction, allowing readers the freedom to utilize the published material. However, the use of this material must still comply with the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License, which requires proper attribution and prohibits commercial use. This increases the visibility of the research and provides greater benefits, not only for the authors but also for society as a whole.
Another benefit of this open access policy is the opportunity for authors to retain their copyright, thus maintaining publishing rights without restrictions. Furthermore, the articles published will be digitally preserved for long-term access, ensuring the availability of the material over time.
This journal also supports the use of DOIs (Digital Object Identifiers) as permanent identifiers for each article and provides article-level metadata for indexers and aggregators, ensuring that published articles are accessible and discoverable by a wider audience. The policy is also registered with a deposit policy registry, such as CrossRef, to ensure that the published articles meet the applicable open access and archiving standards.
However, it is important to note that some articles, especially review articles, may contain figures, tables, or text taken from other publications, for which this journal does not hold the copyright or the right to re-license the material. Therefore, readers are advised to check with the original copyright holder (usually the original publisher or authors) to determine whether the material can be reused.
